Graphic Novel 2

Graphic Novel 2 picks up our stories where we left them off. As we are in a more advanced stage of the process, emphasis this term is on the technical aspects of production. Topics we will explore include character design, pencilling, inking, perspective, anatomy, compositional techniques and lettering.

This online course features pre-recorded tutorial videos (including new instructional videos and new graphic novel and textbook reviews) that you can watch during the week when it is convenient for you, as well as weekly live video discussions (using Google Meet), both full-class and one-on-one sessions with the instructor.

Students are responsible for two projects. We will create script content, process page design work (thumbnails), then develop a selection of finished pages towards the production of a graphic novel.
