
Type A Studios is a Toronto-based creative studio specializing in art education, graphic novels, children’s books, cartoons, illustration, logo design, caricature, and storyboard services.
Anthony Harrison is a cartoonist, illustrator, fine artist and arts educator. He began his illustration career in 1985. He is now in his 29th year teaching at George Brown College and 19th year at Centennial College Fine Arts Studio. He and Lauren Aarntzen also teach Cartooning and Animation at the University of Toronto’s Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study. Anthony has also delivered art instruction at the Royal Ontario Museum, York University and the Toronto Board of Education.
Anthony’s art practice includes a variety of disciplines, from fine art to cartooning. His fine art practice focuses on life drawing and portraiture. His freelance illustration, design, and advertising work includes a client list of the OHL, Centennial College, The ROM, Bridgepoint Health, Young and Rubicam, Saatchi and Saatchi, Vaughn Whelan Creative, RPG Nexus, IAMFA, Dinoquest the Board Game, JAM Magazine, Ontario Hydro and a number of private clients.
Anthony holds a B.A. with High Distinction in Art History and History from the University of Toronto.
