Cartooning 1
In Cartooning 3, we create a full-page colour comic strip of our own characters. We also produce an anthology book cover based on the comic strip.
Emphasis is placed on full-colour rendering techniques using pen and ink and watercolour, with digital media options possible as well. As part of the process, we explore narrative colour theory.
The method of course delivery is by instructor demonstrations, lectures and class discussion. Students are responsible for two projects, which may be completed using either traditional or digital media, or a combination of the two.
