Cartooning 2

In Cartooning 2, we create black and white character designs, then utilize them in single panel cartoons and comic strips using India ink.

Environmental design and perspective technique will be covered along with basic composition. Emphasis is placed on rendering techniques using pen and ink and ink and wash, with digital media options possible as well.

The method of course delivery is by instructor demonstrations, lectures and class discussion. Students are responsible for three projects. The first two projects are single images, and the final project is sequential art – a four-panel comic strip.
